There's only one loser if we succeed in passing this bill and it's Big Tobacco. We have the chance to take a giant leap forward for UK public health by wiping out smoking in a generation. We should take it.

@CarolineLucas In 1969 I’d only ever tried to smoke a cigarette once, as a 9 year old 10 years earlier. The tobacco industry sent out scantily clad ‘pushers’ giving away free packets of cigarillo’s. The nicotine got me hooked. Chris Witty yesterday was absolutely right when he said once I’d become addicted I had no choice. I finally defeated the evil weed about 30 years ago. I am amazed that I fully support something this kleptocracy has put forward.

@CarolineLucas My son has two sons. One will able to smoke (though I doubt he will) and the other won't be able to. Odd law
