Just voted in support of Lords amdts to Govt’s cruel, immoral & unworkable Rwanda bill. We lost - now back to Lords again who I hope will stand against this disgusting bill that undermines rule of law. Legislating to declare Rwanda is safe is authoritarian stain on UK democracy

@CarolineLucas Just who is Rwanda 'safe' for? The president won 99% of the last 'vote' in which opposition candidates were banned; others were in exile and some have been killed. Openly criticising the 'president' is very dangerous. When Putin won 90% of his 'vote', the UK condemned it as a sham but for Kagame such a result is proof that he is a democrat. It is, of course, very safe for multinationals and maybe that's whose interests Sunak has in his 'heart'.
