is off the charts - and against unpaid carers of all people. One of my constituents inadvertently went over payment threshold at an extremely traumatic time, offered to pay it back and had to pay £1300 fine on top or be prosecuted. Absolutely shameful.

@CarolineLucas Meanwhile, there are married couples who are way below the breadline yet can claim nothing because jointly they earnt less than the minimum to pay tax last year but still too much to be eligible for UC. We need PR to keep the cruel tory junta out and UBI to allow people to do more than survive.
