I condemn brutal Hamas attacks. I also fear Israel's response risks driving deadly cycle of violence further. PM says he's straining every sinew to keep peace alive - so will he listen to UN experts calling for ceasefire & renew global effort towards 2 legally recognised states?

@CarolineLucas listening to the COVID enquiry, I think it has become pretty clear that their phrase "straining every sinew" does not indicate that they are doing anything productive. As for expert advice, they are too tone deaf to be capable of following any of it; there's no way the UK will be taking a lead on this. None. More likely the foreign secretary will be going on a well earned holiday in Greece, while the bar stocks up on Middle Eastern themed cocktails...
