Today marks 2 years since the military coup in #Myanmar, leading to a brutal authoritarian rule. Opposition leaders, journalists & activists are imprisoned & prosecuted. The UN estimates that around 1.2 million people are displaced & more than 70.000 people left the country. /1

I repeatedly demanded that the EU acts on the war crimes & revises its trade cooperation with 🇲🇲. The military junta & its business conglomerate mustn't benefit from preferential access to EU single market, which was intended to help the democratic development of the country. /3
