Today marks the 160th anniversary of the January Uprising. It was a fight of free 🇱🇹,🇺🇦,🇵🇱,⬜️🟥⬜️people against Tsarist Russia.
To this day the same enemy continues to harass its neighbors. But our will to live "Without You" is ever present. We will never accept your subjugation.

As a result of the uprising, harsh reprisals followed.

Many revolutionaries were deported to Siberia. The latin alphabet was banned as well as all publications in Lithuanian language. Catholics were being persecuted.

Only in 2017 remains of the leaders of the Uprising, K. Kalinauskas and Z. Sierakauskas, were found in Gediminas Castle Tower in Vilnius.
