Because Poles have been generous toward Ukrainian refugees and Poland has supported Ukraine with arms and logistics, many commentators have missed the slide toward autocracy. #LexTusk designed to exclude key opposition figures from politics is outrageous but not surprising.

A "Committee on Russian Influences' composed of ruling party hacks will be able to exclude key opposition figures from politics. As a well-known Russian stooge, ever since I reported on the war against the Soviets in Afghanistan in 1980s, I expect to be a target.
