I held an interesting meeting with H.E. Béatrice Le Fraper du Hellen, Director for the United Nations of France & H.E. Agnès von der Mühll, French Ambassador to Malta. We spoke at length on Malta’s role as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the term 2023-2024.

Today, I was presented with the book ‘A Commentary on the Constitution of Malta, Second Edition’, by Dr Tonio Borg, which cover, among others, the far-reaching amendments made to the Maltese Constitution in the last six years.

Today I had the pleasure to receive His Excellency Khaled Mohamed Sameh Anis, Ambassador of #Egypt. We recalled the longstanding bilateral relations and how they can be further consolidated by identifying new areas of cooperation, such as those of energy and water resourcing.

Today we spent some time with patients and their relatives in the apartments of Puttinu Cares Foundation in Sutton. We talked about what they are going through and the help they are receiving from The Malta Community Chest Fund.

This morning, we visited The Royal Marsden hospital in Sutton – one of the world's leading cancer treatment centres. This year 67 patients from Malta were admitted here with the support of The Malta Community Chest Fund.

Earlier this afternoon, it was a pleasure to visit the Franciscan Sisters, who warmly welcome Maltese patients. On behalf of the people of #Malta, I would like to thank the Franciscan Sisters & the Augustinian Sisters in #London for their dedication to patients & their relatives.

On the first day of our visit to #London, we visited @GreatOrmondSt, which specialises in children’s care. Accompanied by Mr John Huber, Chairman of the Board of Administrators of The Malta Community Chest Fund, we also visited the Gynaecology Oncology Department @NHSBartsHealth.

We had the pleasure to receive The Kiev Baroque Consort. The group was composed of only female components as the male concert members stayed behind in #Ukraine due to the ongoing war. Visibly moved, the choir treated us to a rendition of the Maltese & Ukrainian national anthems.
