I thank the Medina Foundation for Music for their donation to The Malta Community Chest Fund during a meeting I had earlier today with Mro Mark Agius and Ms Karen Gatt Darmenia. Mr John Huber, Chairman of the Board of Administrators of the MCCF, was also present at the meeting.

Shocked and saddened by the news I just received that former Parliamentary Secretary and colleague in politics Silvio Parnis has passed on to eternal life. My sincere condolences to his relatives and loved ones.

Earlier today, I signed the book of condolence for His Holiness Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI at the Apostolic Nunciature in #Malta. On behalf of the people of Malta, I salute his memory. His teaching, writings and reflections will guide the church for many years to come.

Miriam and I enjoyed attending the 'Malta Taxi Charity Ride' organised by the Malta Taxi Licensed Association. I thanked the taxi drivers for organising a fun filled day for 100 children living in children's homes. I also thanked all carers & urged all children to be grateful.
