Discussions focussed primarily on regional matters, both observing that Malta & Georgia are placed in turbulent regions, which to a large extent also shape their policies.

Today we commemorate the signing of the Schuman Declaration on 9 May 1950. It was an ambitious plan back then aimed at securing long-term peace in a war-torn Europe. The Schuman Declaration laid the foundations for the that we live in today.

This morning, I enjoyed attending the annual parade organised by the Baden Powell Scouts Malta to celebrate the feast of Saint George, patron saint of scouts.

What a great festive atmosphere this morning at the Verdala Palace! Miriam and I enjoyed meeting primary school students during the activities on the first of three days of events for ‘𝐢𝐥-𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐭𝐚𝐥-𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢’ in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund.
