I would like to congratulate the @MaltaPolice Band on the occasion of the centenary of its establishment. Yesterday evening we had the pleasure to attend the vocal and instrumental concert held by the Police Band at St John's Co-Cathedral.

They also presented a donation for the Malta Community Chest Fund, which was collected during fundraisers and from the children’s pocket money. Whilst thanking them for the donation, I commended them for thinking of other people in need.

It was a pleasure to meet with representatives from the 32nd Żejtun Girl Guides at Sant’Anton. Their Leaders explained how Guiding provides the opportunity to develop life skills and instils confidence in girls and young women to take the lead in their communities.

We commemorated the loss of Australian and New Zealand troops in the First and Second World War and their burial in Malta in a wreath-laying ceremony on the occasion of #AnzacDay2023.

Today I had an interesting courtesy call from a group of associations from #Gozo that have teamed together to discuss issues pertaining to the future of Gozo in terms of the built and natural environment, sustainable development and prosperity of the island.

It was a pleasure to join the Floriana community for the annual reception to celebrate the feast of St Publius. On the occasion, I reiterated my appreciation for the work done by band clubs which are cultural & social cradles & commended their work to keep the Maltese Festa alive

I welcomed H.E. Zbigniew Rau, Foreign Minister of #Poland on a courtesy call. I congratulated Minister Rau on the official opening of the Polish Embassy in Malta. This further landmark in bilateral relations is a catalyst for further strengthening diplomatic ties between 🇲🇹 & 🇵🇱.

‘Ilwien u Festi Maltin - Colours of Maltese Festas’ is a series of books presenting photos and information about a hundred festas in Malta and Gozo. Mr Andrew Borg and Mr Mark Micallef Perconte explained that they have been working for over ten years on this project.

During a courtesy call by Mr Saviour Bonnici, we discussed the importance of raising awareness, especially among children, about the beauty of Maltese nature. Mr Bonnici produced a series of short documentaries in Maltese about the flora & fauna of our country - ‘Natura Maltija’.
