Through the #Arraiolos group, I have further consolidated Malta's relations with most of the countries through bilateral visits, official communications and regular phone calls. This evening, I invited all Heads of State to consolidate our network of trust.

This evening, I held a meeting with President @BorutPahor of Slovenia at Sant’Anton Palace. We discussed a number of themes that would also be covered during the #Arraiolos Malta meeting, including the situation in Ukraine from geopolitical and energy-security perspectives.

This afternoon, I received the President of Hungary @KatalinNovakMP, at Sant’Anton Palace.

On the occasion of the opening of the Forensic Year this morning, I attended mass at St John's Co-Cathedral and, soon after, the ceremony held in Court for the speeches by the Chief Justice and the vice-president of the Chamber of Advocates.

President George Vella received the ‘Flame of Peace Award’ in recognition of his commitment to the promotion of a culture of respect and #peace. Princess Herta Margarete Habsburg-Lothringen presented the award to the President of Malta during a ceremony held at San Anton Palace.

Yesterday we celebrated the valuable role of the elderly in our society. During my speech at the ‘Active Ageing Awards’, I spoke about the resilience of the elderly in a changing world, which is also the theme chosen by the United Nations for the #InternationalDayOfOlderPersons.
