Today we commemorated the #Holocaust in a commemoration ceremony at Sant’Anton Palace. In my speech, I reflected on what has been achieved in these 80 years and on whether humanity has learnt any lessons from the Holocaust.

Relations between #Malta & #Australia need no introduction. On Australia National Day, I remarked that the two countries enjoy excellent bilateral relations & have developed a political rapport which has resulted in many high-level exchanges & a robust corpus of agreements.

Industrial heritage has been neglected for too long. I hope that the conference - ‘A Future for Industrial Heritage in Malta’ organised by the Industrial Heritage Platform @UMmalta provides an understanding of the heritage management infrastructure that #Malta needs to develop.
