I was pleased to receive a courtesy call from Dr Yohei Sasakawa, Chairman of the Nippon Foundation & had the opportunity to exchange views on the protection of the oceans, the environment & the IMO International Maritime Law Institute in Malta.

During our meeting, I commended Dr Sasakawa & the Nippon Foundation for their invaluable humanitarian work, especially with those suffering from leprosy & to end discrimination against those inflicted by this disease.
