@cl26865429 They already don't get paid. If the Assembly had the same rules, I'd be good with that.
Also, last I checked Westminster still meets and fuctions without them: that's all we're asking for the Assembly and Executive.

@spendango1 @blanche_c No I don’t and we aren't. The Assembly has no control over the protocol so boycotting it is self-harm for no purpose.
And far from ignoring reasonable concerns, we've promoted pragmatic solutions to UKG and EU.

@tbdukni No. It would still deliver unionists and nationalists in govt: a weighted majority vote needs those from all three designations to pass.
It protects the right to go into govt based on mandate; it simply ensures the largest parties have the same ability to withdraw as others.
@AMontyspurs And the campaign spent a lot more on lies. None of which have been delivered.
But well done on voting for something that has done such harm to NI and the UK. Must be a proud moment.
@spendango1 @blanche_c It's not about the DUP (though weighted majority voting was in their 2011 and 2016 manifestos, alongside voluntary coalition).
Our proposal actually protects their right to be in govt but, if they opt out allows govt to be formed.
I want the DUP to take their seats now.
@RoryMcGimpsey It isn't about excluding people: their mandate entitles them to be in govt. It doesn't entitle them to prevent us having one.
Maybe if people knew the Executive would continue without them, they'd be less likely to chuck their toys out of the pram.
@DamianFromDerry @HarriettmooreB2 Have already called on the Secretary of State to cut salaries. The current situation just isn't sustainable.
@SMac0304 We didn't for any other of the many reforms since 1998. Is only when Alliance proposes change that we need one?
None of our proposals undermine a single principle of the GFA.
They don't rip it up: we'll leave that to those who abuse the institutions rather than work them.

We don't define ourselves as part of the binary political set-up here.

Ask that question again, having had it answered multiple times, and I'm blocking.

@Carolin55162028 We have raised it with the SoS and in Westminster with the Department delivering it. The delay in payment is really impacting people’s lives.
None of that would be necessary if we'd had an Executive since March.
