@hermantmarley In a "cross community" vote, those unaligned are discounted. It needs an overall majority + a mojority of Unionists + a majority of Nationalists. Whilst we can impact the first, we are discounted in the second.
Weighted majority voting would ensure U, N and other would count.
@AMontyspurs If only those who supported Brexit (and the protocol) actually understood what they were supporting...
Brexit is a shambles: the Protocol is a consequence. However, our focus is on trying to protect NI from the worst impacts of both.

First, our proposal ensures the right to be in government based on mandate.
Second, it treats all parties equally with respect to opting out if they wish.
Thirdly, it offers more protection than the DUP manifesto of 2011/2016.
