@BillyKi72445808 @nadhimzahawi @hmtreasury I wouldn't expect to get any support: my preference has always been for the money we receive in NI to match the £400 payment to be targeted at those most in need.
If it's instead distributed as in E, S & W, then it'll be taken off electric bills automatically, including mine.

We have the protocol because:
1. Brexit
2. Frost and Johnson signed up to it
3. Parliament endorsed it
Note that the Assembly was ignored then, just as during Brexit and again during the Protocol Bill.

We need reform so no party can hold the Executive hostage again.
@StephenRob1970 @nadhimzahawi @hmtreasury So basically the latter: both require work, but an Executive could have made significant progress. Westminster is still exploring how to do it and what's possible.

A restored Executive could do it via a scheme which wouldn't require legislation. Given it's over 3 mths from the election, that could have been in place by now.

Sadly, at this stage, while both acknowledge the need for change, they're too fixated on a quick fix to actually deal with the underlying cause of instability.

You know this is at best a half truth: it *can* be delivered without an Executive in theory; however, there is currently no mechanism to do so.
The quickest way is via an Executive.
