@dmcbfs They did furlough directly: government used the PAYE system which was designed for that.
They want energy companies to do this for them: their billing systems were never designed for dealing with cashing out on this scale.

@dmcbfs I asked about the roll-out starting in Jan lasting until June & the SoS did push back to say it would be much quicker than June: however, those were the timeframes we were being warned about by the companies who have to deliver. 🤷♀️ The lack of urgency is astonishing.
