@SeanCraig28 @Steven_OConnor1 @BeattieDoug That actually isn't borne out by research in terms of the sentences available, which are broadly comparable, though we have different sentence structures (eg ECS).
The judiciary is independent so the sentences they arrive at are entirely at their discretion.
