@WriteTruths @allianceparty We didn't support new borders anywhere: that was the hard Brexiteers.
If there were going to be checks, from a purely practical perspective, they were always more likely to be at 7 ports/airports than 200-odd road crossing at the border.
We warned of this in 2016...
