RT by @lukeming: Hi @SeanFlemingTD (cc @BrianStanleySF),

As Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee in November 2019, you requested a report from the Department of Social Protection. In December 2019 you received a report which stated:

“This data is non-identifying and does not provide journey duration or fare collected.”

2 months later, in February 2020, Acting Minister Regina Doherty deleted parts of a massive database which did contain the identifying journey data of 1 million OAPs and persons with disabilities.

At the time you received the report, Minister Doherty and all those involved in the report, were fully aware that they were deliberately misleading the Public Accounts Committee.

For the following 3 years, the Department continued to deny any wrongdoing despite deleting the mass surveillance database.

Free travel is a right OAPs were given by @fiannafailparty and Regina Doherty should still be made account for her despicable lies.
