@BrianCAlbrecht Metric cannot be raw intelligence, which is unobservable (someone leading their tribe somewhere in the savanna?). So it must be intellectual accomplishment relative to state of knowledge. That leaves a few candidates: Aristotle, Newton, Einstein.
