Just over 100 years ago, the soil of Ypres was torn by shells and shrapnel.

Today, it nourishes the seeds of cereals and vegetables and grass for the grazing of cattle.

R to @jwojc: On the farm, several crops are cultivated: 23 ha maize, 25 ha grassland, 2,8 ha méteil, 11 ha instead of 13 ha potatoes, 3 ha sugar beets, 2 ha fodder beets (+/- 67 ha in total).

Farmers have applied for several annual ecoschemes.

It is clear that the accession of any new Member State has an effect on EU policies, including the Common Agricultural Policy.
The Commission will work in 2024 on a policy review to identify whether EU policies are ready for enlargement.
