Just over 100 years ago, the fields of Ypres 🇧🇪 lay bloodied, burnt and bombed.
Today, they are being farmed and nurtured by Susan Mahieu and her family.
Let me share their story.

Their farm combines:
▪️maize
▪️méteil (a mix of cereals, protein crops and vetch)
▪️potatoes
▪️beets
▪️and grassland

They also have a herd of dairy cows.

▪️growing eco-crops
▪️conserving organic carbon content
