A question for older techies

In the 90s the EE government allowed only PCs not Macs.

Whenever I wrote the word "co-operation" on word, it would come out "Cupertino" (Apple HQ).

I asked the IT dept. They couldn't answer. Was it Msoft trolling Apple or vice versa or me? 1/2
