Honoured to meet @PattyMurray @lisamurkowski @CortezMasto. Had a chance to thank for hugely important US military and financial contributions to the security of our region and victory in Ukraine. Lithuania continues to increase investment in the defence of NATO's Eastern Flank. t.co/4BBuqZXxdy

Discussed expectations of the Alliance ahead of the NATO summit in Vilnius with my very good friend @WBHoekstra. It is our common duty to strengthen transatlantic security and to deliver on promises made.

To prevent the repetition of recent atrocities in Bucha, Irpin and Nova Kakhovka we need to strengthen the @IntlCrimCourt politically and financially. Thank you @KarimKhanQC for your leadership in protecting the rules based order and seeking justice.

For the continent of Europe to be safe, the steps on Ukraine's path to NATO must be clearly defined and fully agreed. 15 years of vague promises must end with a firm commitment, including protecting Ukraine while we take those steps.

I sent to the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court @Tsihanouskaya's detailed information on Belarusian involvement in the deportation of Ukrainian children to Belarus. Full justice for Ukraine requires the prosecution of Belarus for collaborating with Russia.

Terrorists don't stop unless they are stopped. They don't negotiate with anything except force. They cause huge catastrophes without regret. I'll say it again: Lasting peace in Europe requires a Ukrainian victory both on the battlefield and in court. Nothing else will work.

In Wismar today hearing about the thousands of pieces of ammunition left in the Baltic Sea after WWII.
There are also thousands of mines being laid in the Black Sea right now. So this is another in a long list of reasons to stop the Kremlin regime now, not later.

Putin is still holding a nuclear power station hostage at Zaporizhzhia. Now he is making renewed threats about its safety and risking an "accident" every day. It's high time to confront the threats seriously and finally sanction Rosatom in response.

Heartfelt congratulations to my Baltic brother @edgarsrinkevics on being elected President of Latvia! We will continue to stand together in support of Ukraine, NATO and the EU. 🇱🇹❤️🇱🇻

When people fight for democracy in Russia they are labelled traitors, because Putin is scared of democracy. In response to the persecution of opposition politician Kara-Murza, Lithuania has barred entry for 15 of his persecutors in the Russian "justice" system.

Today is the International Day of Solidarity with Political Prisoners in Belarus. While Lukashenko continues to persecute the brave people who stand up for democracy we should be increasing sanctions, not rewarding the tyrant for his tyranny.

Both Lithuania and Japan know what it's like to live next to an aggressive nuclear power, so it's no surprise that we understand each other. My thanks to Foreign Minister Hayashi for the warm welcome and productive discussions.
