@Dreamtime77 She appealed against her expulsion from the meeting and lost. The complaint against her which saw her expelled, was not anonymous. She could have appealed and did not. She tried to stop the elections and lost. She has sued the party before and lost

We shall see what happens next

@Dreamtime77 You're right.I don't think she's transphobic. Ido, very much think she is a bully. She behaved absolutely disgracefully in that Board meeting. You were not there. I was, and gave evidence in the omnibus complaint against her. 1/2

RT @MeghanMcCain: One small idea would be to stop shitting on my family when you’re running for office in Arizona.

@hawkins_carole @TraceyR64968698 @1jtonner @Jenny_1884 I’m not wholly certain what we are arguing about, but National Insurance, introduced 1906, was an insurance (really) and the 1946 Act specifically calls the payments a “benefit”. Government had the right to govern, you know?

@C_Kenyon1 @NicholasTyrone Putin is the poison. Brexit is the sickness caused (see “independence”).

@carolinevoaden I know. Oddly, it’s been “worse” this last 10 days. Possibly because I’m finally home. But a constant presence.

@widow_waiting I woke this morning at 6, thinking I was pressed against my husband. It may have been your sadness reaching out.

@TAGilbert @PeterTaylorFoD @ncaipics @wendychambLD In this case, it’s about who people are. It’s plain courtesy

RT @scaringusince98: is nothing more than a bullshit hateful rhetoric. Imagine comparing transgender lives simply existing to racism…

I am 6 months ahead of you. It's devastating. Every minute of every day, an enormous gap. But you are strong and you will get through.
RT @widow_waiting: I thought I was okay. Then it hit. Like a sledgehammer to the chest.

He is gone.

He is gone.

He is gone.

The pain is indescribable.

@hawkins_carole @TraceyR64968698 @1jtonner @Jenny_1884 The law allowing this dates back to 1992. Arguments have been made that the surplus would be better spent on increasing pensions, while Tory, Coalition and Labour governments have argued that it’s prudent to keep the money in reserve and invest it to help pay down the debt.

@hawkins_carole @TraceyR64968698 @1jtonner @Jenny_1884 Some funds are used to pay off debt. This doesn’t mean anyone isn’t getting paid what they’re currently due in pensions or benefits—the UK government invests the NICs that don’t go towards paying pensions and benefits on reducing the national debt.

RT @scotlibdems: Since Humza Yousaf took office in May 2021 A&E wait times have badly deteriorated.

The numbers waiting over 8 hours have increased by 717% and those over 12 hours have increased by over 1000%. All on his watch.

Does he think he is the best person to resolve this crisis?

@hawkins_carole @TraceyR64968698 @1jtonner @Jenny_1884 The National Insurance Fund.
money flows in and out of this fund every year, But the fund doesn’t always end up in balance. In some years, it needs to pay out more in benefits than it gets in contributions—a deficit. In other years, it pays out less than it receives— a surplus.

@hawkins_carole @TraceyR64968698 @1jtonner @Jenny_1884 NICs are paid by employees, employers and the self-employed and pay for contributory benefits, mainly the state pension. For the most part, today’s workers are paying the pensions of today’s pensioners.
Unlike most taxes in the UK, NICs are paid into a specific pot. 1/
