This is ridiculous @WWFEU. When producing i.e. houses using timber (replacing emitting products as steel/cement) there are residues: tops, bark & branches etc. THIS is what being burned for energy in Sweden - not “trees”!

So I have the following questions:
1) what should we do with the branches? Left emitting in the forest?
2) the biomass replaced coal in the first place, what should the Swedish district heating systems use instead? Coal? Waste? Gas?
