According to our latest trendspotter study, opioid agonist treatment (OAT) is the main drug service provided in EU countries to displaced Ukrainians with drug-related problems who fled the war.

Often sold as 'legal' replacements for cannabis, synthetic cannabinoids are the largest group of NPS monitored by the EMCDDA. Currently 224 are monitored through the EU Early Warning System.

Overall, indicators suggest that the availability and use of cocaine in Europe remains high by historical standards. In 2020, a record high of 213 tonnes of cocaine was seized.
