RT by @ecb: 🔹 How much of a problem is it if inflation rates are different in different euro area member states?
🔹 How has the high inflation of recent years impacted competitiveness and exporters in the euro area?
🔹 Should central banks react to signs of inflation and to global inflation shocks?
🔹 What can central banks learn from the monetary policy of euro area countries?

The high-level discussion panel to be held at Eesti Pank on 30 August will focus on the impact of recent crises and the monetary policy lessons that central banks can learn from them. The members of the panel, who are all direct participants in making monetary policy in the euro area, will be @Isabel_Schnabel from the @ecb , @martinskazaks from @LatvijasBanka, @ollirehn from @SuomenPankki, and Gediminas Šimkus from @Lietuvosbankas. The discussion will be chaired by Governor of Eesti Pank @madis_muller. The panel discussion will be preceded by a lecture given by Isabel Schnabel on inflation in the euro area and the outlook for it and the risks associated with it. The event will be held in English.

👉 The lecture by Isabel Schnabel of the ECB and discussion between central bank heads from the Baltic states and Finland can be followed on the Eesti Pank YouTube channel: youtube.com/live/ZGZJu7QkB0A
