Re @Hoppwn @CherryMalvern @secrettory12 @SuellaBraverman And besides, the emissions that are causing the problem are our own historic contribution to the atmosphere over two hundred years, plus the current ongoing goods we import from China (whose emissions are ours too). We need to compensate with net negative.

How to be explicitly on the wrong side of history.
But Sir Keir doesn't like tree huggers either.

Everyone except the Tories (and Labour?) can see that climate denial is bad for the UK. Imagine how far in the lead we'd be if we'd already had a Green government in the 2000s! We've left it too late, but it's truly urgent now.

Re @mphemmens And there are loads of places where Labour can't win a seat off the Conservatives but other parties can. It's nonsensical to say "hold your nose and vote Labour" in a rural seat where Green is the main challenger.

Tory MP Andrew Rosindell has not attended parliament for more than a year since his arrest.
The offences include abuse of a position of trust and indecent assault.
He was reselected unanimously. The police inquiry was not discussed.

The most important thing for shifting people to sustainable transport is to have it run at the right time and frequently, and flexible tickets that can be used on the next train if you miss it. Early morning, late evening. It doesn't have to be fast. Train time isn't wasted time.

Latest IPSOS poll shows only 23% of people think the Tories are competent at running the country.
Exactly who are these 23% 🤷‍♂️
They need to go to SpecSavers.

🤔 Arguably ecocide should be considered a violent offence.
