I wonder whether the government has any idea what it is stirring up as it pursues its anti union war at a time of shortage of skilled labour and rampant inflation.
RT @NursingNotesUK: RCN ordered to pay Government’s legal costs. The union has been ordered to compensate the government for an amount equal to the monthly fee of 2,100 union members.

@pessimistanon I think when we worked together with other nations to create a post-war commitment to human rights, democracy and the rule of law, we were leading the way on a better world.
Now we're joining in with those whose main ambition is rolling it all back. 🤢

"We have legal routes...." No we don't (apart from the small boats and people traffickers). In fact we can't even offer a safe route for our own British Nationals out of Sudan. 530 people! With no safe way to get to the airfield?

RT @KayBurley: Kay: You say coming over on a small boat is illegal?

Foreign Secretary: Yes

Kay: So why don’t we arrest them?

@PeterWelsh68 @AdrianRamsay @Andrew9Boswell It seems that the media has to be forced to invite them. Electoral law still allows us a small allowance of time in the run up to elections.

@bicyclecircus @littlegreydog3 They sort of know it, perhaps, though they can't know what the rate of inflation will be (which eats away the purchasing power of their pension), nor how much the pension will rise for those who remain in the UK (the rises they won't get because they are abroad).
