A speedometer can be faulty, so someone might advise you not to believe the speedometer but to observe the road.
Johnson's case is different.
Seeing a party meant there was a party.

If it was so hard to maintain social distancing & masks and stop people gathering for drinks in Downing St corridors, the workforce should have been sent home to work via Zoom. Or they could have moved into one of the many empty office blocks to give everyone a separate space.

@littlegreydog3 But the money they pay me was taxed when they received it, and taxed when the customer or donor received it, and so on. The more transactions the higher the number of times the inland revenue gets a bit of it. That's why you don't need to raise tax rates to increase revenue.
