RT @eiecampaign: Massive turnout in London today to support striking workers 👊

The message to the government is clear:

RT @premnsikka: Magic Money Tree.

UK govt hands £5bn to BT for broadband provision.

BT will keep the resulting assets & income streams.

I asked the govt why it did not insist that in return BT must provide free broadband to poor/vulnerable households.

Watch rubbish answer from the Minister.

I gather they're still trying to finish sorting out the Brexit deal for Northern Ireland. It's been in the oven for three years already and still not fit for purpose?
Who here thinks it's possible to square the circle?

@Kit_Yates_Maths It's already dead, it's had its guts and feathers removed and it's trussed up to look less ugly and naked than it really is.

@JaneStRetCP Yes but if there aren't enough workers they just take a worker from one essential public service to do a different higher paid job. You need three things: raise public sector wages to bring them in line with the private sector, fund the NHS, fund the real cost of child care.

@Achille_Putin @BBCNews We all know why Putin funded the leave campaign. Some people should be in prison not in parliament. It was and is treason, plain and simple.

@johnawhite @BBCNews Jerusalem is a great song. Blake puts his finger on it, and we're right back there again now. Exploitation in the dark satanic mills...

RT @eiecampaign: 500,000 workers take strike action today. They are taking on corporate and government greed and power.

RT if you back every single individual who is on the picket lines today.

We need to stop the government from ripping up all the good legislation we adopted during the good old days.

Nature and workers are at risk.

RT @ledredman: @BBCNewsnight The OBR says that Brexit has twice as much negative impact on the economy as the pandemic. Why do you allow these extremists onto the TV to lie? Haven't we had enough of Brexity liars in 2023? Isn't 7 years of mindless wrecking enough?

RT @paullees496: @mrjamesob How many EU countries have cut the vat rate on electricity in the last year and why has the UK not done so if we are free to do so now we are out of the EU, Brexit is all about selling a con to the to lazy to think for themselves

RT @PippaMusgrave1: @mrjamesob 1. Free ports failed and Cameron got rid of them in 2012. We didn't need to leave the EU to create freeports

If only their UK Labour colleagues were allowed to agree 😕
But their old @GreensEFA colleagues do agree.
RT @TheProgressives: On the anniversary of Brexit, we’re clear that leaving the EU was a mistake. We miss our Labour colleagues and the UK’s contribution to our Union.

We’re convinced that a closer partnership than we currently have would be a huge step forward for the UK.

@ian_styles @Peradventur3 @cleanupbritain They're not bureaucrats. They're the people who offer themselves for election as having a vision for how to make this country a better place and take the lead on enabling that to happen. That's what they're for. 🙄

This wouldn't look like this if we'd elected Greens to govt in 2019. The same news bulletin noted that green initiatives and net zero action have benefited left-behind bits of the UK. Our economy's in the doldrums. It's partly Brexit & Truss, but also failure to end fossil fuels.
RT @GreenPartyMolly: UK is the only major economy predicted to decline this year

From Brexit to the mini-budget, the Tories have been a disaster for our economy

The anniversary of our exit from the EU.

IMF tells it how it is: the UK is bottom of the class (worse even than Russia).

@BBCNews observes coyly that this is from "people lost from the workforce".

Plus "Groceries hit 16% inflation".

🧐Don't mention Brexit?

@CDare10 Admitting that vaccination doesn't stop you being long term damaged by covid doesn't really fit with their preferred narrative~ about being great at "rolling out the vaccine" (meaning here but not world-wide, of course). Remember when that was supposed to "protect the NHS"? 🙄
