RT @wildirishrosie: If they are paying 2500 per shift for an agency nurse why don't they just pay the correct money to tbe permanent nurses ... problem solved

RT @ncecire: We're going to keep hearing lots of this but it's incredibly important that those of us on secure contracts stand in solidarity with our precarious and more junior colleagues. That's the point of a union.

RT @DarrellChaloner: @wastedupnorth @RichardJMurphy @PJTheEconomist @TheIFS Massive investment in the NHS and public health generally would increase productive capacity. This is the opposite of inflationary.

Address the causes of mental health problems, instead of waiting till they happen. In particular, try a UBI to ensure that no one is too afraid to leave an abusive relationship or to get free of workplace bullying. UBI saves mental health costs, reduces sick leave, saves lives.

RT @flyingless: @AnnastaciaMP In truth, Brisbane Airport is a jet fuel gas station with a passenger and freight loading/unloading side function.

If the jet fuel were counted in the calculation, this 100% claim would be meaningful and impressive.

RT @riccairns: No we don’t need any new technology to fix our problems. Just action. @Bowenchris @MarkMcGowanMP

6. Cut the cost of road injuries, by zero tolerance of bad driving, aggression, or road rage towards cyclists or pedestrians. Disqualify any driver who causes an injury to a more vulnerable road user or drives aggressively, or behaves in a thuggish way towards other road users.

4. Ensure that every child walks or cycles to school in a place free of traffic particulates. End the dominance of the car in city and countryside. Health requires healthy air and healthy well ventilated buildings.

3. Improve incomes and make good food not unhealthy food the most accessible option for all workers and school children so that obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes are addressed in the supermarket and the canteen not in the doctor's surgery.

2. Abolish dental charges and pay dentists on the NHS enough to make it possible for them to stay (stay in Britain, stay in the NHS) so that people can get good dental health care quickly and protect children's teeth to save higher costs due to neglect.

A few efficiencies that would save a lot.
1. Abolish prescription charges to eliminate the need for processing millions of fees and charges every day and save the health consequences of people being unable to afford their medicines.
RT @doctor_oxford: This is absolute nonsense.

Perhaps @Jeremy_Hunt can explain how we can possibly “find efficiencies” with 7.1 million patients on waiting lists & A&Es frequently resembling war …

Deny that it's grown less slowly? I'm not even sure what she means. But we know it's made us poorer, taken our freedoms and opportunities. What's it given us? Did she even invite him to say?
RT @Haggis_UK: - Do you deny that brexit has meant that the economy has grown less slowly than it otherwise might have been?

Jeremy Hunt - "I don't accept the premise that brexit will make us poorer..." 👀

Pay rises for teachers need to be funded, not awarded with no money to pay for them. Pay rises for teachers need to bring them back to a level of reward that matches what they do and the cost of living. Key workers deserve their rewards.

RT @mattddgreen: @catherinerowett How many people have been killed, or will be killed, buy the actions of the fossil fuel companies? From Ken Saro-Wiwa and the Ogoni to the flooded residents of Pakistan. We need to remember those who have died and those who will die because of their activities.
