So is it that students are being saddled with debt for degrees that the government's decided are worthless, or that they're being educated at tax payers' expense on such degrees? Oh it's both, is it? Yes that tells us everything about what's wrong with the fees/loans system.

Re And let's note with horror the idea that a degree is only of value to the state if it turns the person into a cog in a machine for production.
