@Cure2Diane @GreenPartyMolly @TheGreenParty The minimum wage would be set to deliver a living wage on a 32 hour week. That's the point of a reduction in the working week. @TheGreenParty recommends a real living wage (currently a £15 minimum wage) and would adjust it to be achieved in 32 hours.

If MPs always blocked an agreement that one political party with minority support found wasn't wholly to their liking, we'd never get anything done. In fact we wouldn't have a withdrawal agreement at all yet. The DUP doesn't represent the interests of the UK or Northern Ireland.

Gyms and swimming pools? Every swimming pool should have a gym alongside, with fitness equipment set to generate heat for the pool. The wasted energy in gyms makes me cross. If people must do that instead of useful walking and cycling, they could at least drive a dynamo. 😏

@RegRigsby @BriefcaseMike It's unclear in the article whether all the firms reduced hours. It's supposed to be a reduction in hours from 35 (5x7) to 32 hours (4 x 8). Some studies suggest you get more productivity, or at least as much, by reducing hours.

@ChrisJHutch74 @TheGreenParty Absolutely agree. Mondays are the worst and should be abolished! But in many jobs that aren't just time-wasting, the working week needs to have different days for different people because tasks and duties have to be covered every day by someone!
So sadly, some must work Mondays.

Most of the companies are continuing with it.
