@SmartGrowthUK @HughJaeger @PricedOutUK What's needed is actual council houses, not private developers and not for sale. Then the houses bought up by private landlords to let out for rent could return to being houses people could afford to buy to live in. We need to take the private profit out of social housing.

Instead of subsidising energy use (pouring public money into energy company shareholders), how about raising public sector pay so that people can afford to go out and pay for the goods and services, at the price it costs? Then tax revenues would rise.

It goes to those who need their pay cutting.
