RT @gavinesler: The unelected upper chamber of the UK parliament steps into stop the government’s dodgy bill on …. elections…. You couldn’t make it up.

RT @TheGreenParty: ✅ The Government could have provided us with cheap, green energy, lower bills and secure jobs.

🤯 Instead they chose to give us more pollution and temporary, low-quality jobs.

RT @greenbenali: It would be great if liberal papers like the Guardian didn’t just repeat this government’s rhetoric

It’s not “illegal immigration”, they’re asylum seekers

RT @GreenJJNews: Today in the Lords @GreenJennyJones and @natalieben will back a fatal motion to stop Voter ID being part of the elections this May. This is voter suppression aimed at making it harder for some people to vote - mostly those who don't vote Conservative. @BBCr4today

RT @WalesGreenParty: Solidarity to all those on the picket line today and over the coming weeks and months.

We are with you ✊

Yes it's great to clear the cycle lanes. But if you don't also clear the footpath the pedestrians will walk in the cycle path. All forms of active travel need to be looked after.
RT @Labourstone: Gr8 to see @wfcouncil being cleared of snow & ready for safe use for cyclists. This is about cultural & system change, as well as infrastructure. but also ! Thanks to our contractor . @WeSupportWFMH @wil…

RT @theTallBikeGuy: Just some of the drivers seen in the space of a few minutes illegally rat-running down Exchange St.

They must surely know by now they shouldn't be there

RT @revpaulwhite: Just a little reminder that a peer of the realm appears to have ‘appropriated’ millions of pounds from the taxpayer, has fled the jurisdiction and is liquidating her assets.

@CmdrSpace @RMTunion Basically it is always a big sacrifice to go on strike. You lose a day's pay. The smaller the pay packet the harder it is to cope without it. The larger it is the bigger the cut you suffer. You can't measure the sacrifice in pounds, but you can measure it in days without pay.

@CmdrSpace @Marcus_camito @RMTunion I think it's great that someone has the quickness of wit and grasp of the methods to call out prejudice as it happens~not just realise afterwards that they were tricked into a trap. It's hard to do, and it's right if you spot it to be angry. Get the message across to listeners.

@CmdrSpace @RMTunion Asking that question is a deliberate right wing ploy: if the number is small it's not a big sacrifice; if it's large they use it to pretend that the workers are well paid for what they do. It's a deliberate frame to make strikers look like the ones in the wrong. Shame on the BBC.

Beware when they accuse the workers of stealing something.

Who's stealing your 2022 Christmas?

Hint: not the ones the media are picking on, surprise surprise.

RT @drmpwalsh: Ask the bigger question @MishalHusain why is there a Winter of Discontent? Hasn't the Government incompetent? Havn't they failed ordinary people, rail, postal, border force, nurses even the Royal College of Nursing?
(recall Boris Johnson doing all that clapping outside No. 10?)

RT @SaulStaniforth: Mick Lynch from the @RMTunion calling out the BBC for repeating govt propaganda and the attack lines used by the right wing press.👏👏👏

RT @anotherJon: I see that @AllerdaleGreenP's chair has written to the Guardian to set the record straight on their opposition to the Cumbrian coal mine:

You ain't seen nothing yet. This government is flailing around because they are determined that tax payers' money is for the fossil fuel companies and the private contracts for their friends and must not be used to pay hard working people in essential services.
No end in sight.
RT @BBCBreaking: October was the worst month for strikes in the UK for more than a decade with 417,000 days lost to walkouts, official figures show bbc.co.uk/news/business-639491

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/catherinerowe

RT @NewStatesman: A reason the government gives in favour of not meeting the unions’ demands is that it simply cannot afford to. This is disingenuous.

@Anoosh_C debunks the biggest myths about strikes. newstatesman.com/economy/2022/

@ShirleyPressler @earthygirl011 Lost because its own members plotted to ensure it lost and Tories got their destructive majority that has allowed them to crash through the entire edifice of good things in this country. Sheer vandalism on a grand scale.
