RT @topenergyalerts: New report shows how the fossil fuel industry:

➡️ had unprecedented access to decision making
➡️ placed its interests, and profits, above the interests of millions in energy poverty

@PurpleMouse But let's make sure that some people, if they have disgraced the country while serving in the commons, are ineligible for election to the Lords, no matter how much their buffoonery appeals to the populus.

@votedlabour @Slippersnight @stimmo @RishiSunak @COP27P The tweet was about Brexit not nuclear. If you think new nuclear is an answer to anything you're frankly out of touch with the global realities.

Disgraced prime ministers who've been found guilty & fined while in office and are under investigation for breaking HOC rules should not be permitted to nominate people for honours. Those associated with their crimes or corruption should be barred from the Lords for life. Agreed?

RT @IMSpardagus: @GreenJennyJones Where are the @metpoliceuk when the country needs them? Oh, yes, out harassing protesters for a better future.

There's no problem with the signage. The sign says the road is closed. There's a problem with drivers knowing that it's a short cut to where they want to be, and thinking they are personally entitled to use the roads if it's convenient for them.
RT @EveningNews: A protester who halted traffic on a Norwich street has led to renewed calls for clearer signage. eveningnews24.co.uk/news/23106

RT @FW10826: Vote for a party that wants to solve the climate crisis and believes protest is not a crime.

Vote for @TheGreenParty

RT @jonlis1: Your regular reminder that there is no ‘fiscal black hole’ because the economy is not a credit card, our central bank can create new money and we can borrow to invest in critical infrastructure without spooking any investors. Spending cuts are and always will be a choice.

@votedlabour @Slippersnight @stimmo @RishiSunak @COP27P Oh did I miss Labour saying something sensible on this?

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@andyverity It's not fiscally responsible to run a surplus. That means you're taking in more revenue than you are deploying for investment and support of your initiatives. It's not a way to build a better future.

RT @futureidentity: Accord to @politico, MEPs who met DCMS to discuss the GDPR came away saying that the UK policy focus is all about protecting the economy and nothing about protecting individuals’ rights.

We’ve seen what the Government’s idea of protecting the economy is, so buckle up.

@PaulbernalUK I think he is competing with Truss for how fast you can completely ruin something you thought you could improve. And whether you can do it faster than it takes a lettuce to wilt.

RT @GreenJennyJones: What a mess the Tory Party is in when a disgraced, sacked PM can still appoint cronies into the House of Lords.

RT @Amelia_Womack: Remember when ⁦@BorisJohnson⁩ resigned at Prime Minister and in his resignation speech he listed every single thing he’d done that he was “proud” of?

He didn’t mention COP26!

I think that for Johnson the “spirit of Glasgow” is opportunism.

RT @ZackPolanski: Right now richest 10% are responsible for nearly half of world’s emissions from fossil fuels.

This richest 10% live in richest countries in North America and Europe.

At COP27, we must both take responsibility for our climate emissions & protect nature.

So, at COP17, they're trying to tell Africa not to try to open new gas fields, but turning a blind eye to the UK and Europe approving and encouraging new gas fields in the North Sea this summer?
Hint: NEITHER is compatible with a future.
We choose a future.
