1. Made it impossible to seek asylum by safe and proper routes, boosting the people-trafficking industry and turning it into a criminal industry, including rape and extortion perpetrated on the victims.

4. The failure by Tory government to address the causes of the wars and famines and floods that cause people to leave their homes in desperation. The wars that lead mothers to send their sons away from the war zones, because if they stay they will be caught up in deadly fighting.
