RT @JackySm3344: @FatGuy_Slim @GreenpeaceUK Solar farms don't trash anything - many crops can be produced as well as the electricity.
So let's have solar on farms AND on roof spaces.
What's not to like?
Profitable farms would make a nice change, after the trade deals this bunch of comedians have made.

@GreenpeaceUK @albenito Wildlife does rather well on solar farms, especially if the land is left to grow weeds or for grazing.

RT @GreenpeaceUK: Amount of land in the UK taken up by:

Golf courses = 1,256 km2
Solar farms = 230 km2

If government ministers want to put our land to better use, why don't they take a look at golf courses first?

@GessieGypsy9 @TheGreenParty UK. We have the lowest unemployment rate since 1973-4, and the number of unemployed per vacancy is at an all time record low. Even though numbers of vacancies fell a little this summer, available workers fell faster. Why? Brexit & long covid.

@carolinevoaden He hasn't crossed the floor. What's his voting record? Why think he gets it, as opposed to getting that he'll lose his seat? Let's see some of them show the way to the opposition benches.

@LinYarrow @zoenicholson4 Here too, many farmers graze sheep round them, to make ends meet by getting a little extra income. And wild land is also good. Not every inch of land needs to be factory farmed. They don't need fertiliser or herbicides and aren't bad for wildlife.

@lizmallard @GreenPartyJack @TheGreenParty We already have plaster casts of them in many cast galleries around the country and casts in Athens. It doesn't require any new technology.
In fact the casts already exist. @classarch

RT @GreenPartyJack: I’m pleased to hear this body has been established. But it’s a shame there appears to be no movement on the official British position, and we’ll only be loaning the marbles.

They are not ours. We should support the return of the spoils of colonialism. bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-a

RT @LGBTIQAGreens: This week is .

This is a reminder to everyone:

1) This, and most @TheGreenParty comms, are run by volunteers- not paid staff.

2) It's important in the fight against opression to not get burnt out- stress can kill.

Take time to look after your wellbeing.

@GessieGypsy9 @TheGreenParty If you upskill the people currently doing basic key worker roles, to move them into well paid green jobs, you still need some people to do the essential jobs that are less glamorous & less technical. If you don't have workers nothing works, nothing's clean, nothing's delivered.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@GessieGypsy9 @TheGreenParty We currently have almost full employment, and thousands of unfilled vacancies. Upskilling to move into better jobs is part of a Green agenda (but requires training places to be adequately resourced and apprenticeships to be properly paid and vocational not cheap slaves), but...

@eddwilson @SandraDunn1955 I think the Trussworthy method is just to delete them all with a single statute to red them, and then insist that the disastrous consequences are not a problem.
