RT @PeterStefanovi2: HEAVEN HELP US

Rishi Sunak tells the hustings audience in Cardiff tonight

“We have to move away from the ECHR definition of asylum. It allows lefty lawyers to exploit it and frustrate our efforts”

The whole rotten lot must be thrown from office at the first opportunity

RT @BeckettUnite: Inflation to hit 13.5% in October say BoE.

As trade unionists we must be honest, any pay settlement less than 13.5% is a real terms pay cut.

99% of workers will get a real terms pay cut this year.

doesn't appear to know what it is for. Doing more of the same yet more often is really not going to help is it?
Regulatory body not fit for purpose. Government missing in action.

RT @BeckettUnite: A wealth tax of 0.05% on financial transactions would raise £250bn pa.

Instead the establishment have just increased your mortgage costs.

Do the Tories have RON on their ballot paper? Today I met a Tory couple who are members, but don't like either candidate. When I told them about RON, I think they wished they were in the Green Party—except then they wouldn't get the chance to say RON to the Tories! 🤣

If more evidence were needed that better-resourced public services are the way to go forward..

@TheGreenParty is the only national party that is unequivocally in support of properly funded public services

RT @snb19692: Should UK energy firms be Nationalised?

@WadThouGan @TheGreenParty I see her wrinkles have got quite a lot worse. Poor thing, having to u-turn when her idiotic policies turn out to be unpopular. It must be a worry.

@beachlabour @cyclepath Yet another of the blatantly stupid schemes that count for getting the £billions that the government will then boast about. "We spent £x bn on active travel and public transport. Why aren't you satisfied?". The schemes are always intended to free up roads for cars to go faster.

And is it such a bad thing if decent levels of pay in the public sector help to pull up wages in the private sector to match? There are currently too few people earning enough to buy a house or raise a family or spend money in the local economy. We were promised sunlit uplands!

"Not going ahead with regional pay boards" doesn't seem to say "not going ahead with offering public sector jobs at lower salaries in the regions".

RT @Number10cat: 3. But rather than say “yeah, I hadn’t thought it through, of course we shouldn’t do that” she instead says she’s been “misrepresented”

If she didn't intend to cut pay for nurses and teachers, the sums she thought she'd save didn't add up. And let's be clear, cutting that much income from staff in the regions, is cutting that much money from the economies of the regions.
RT @BBCPolitics: "I never had any intention of changing the terms and conditions of teachers and nurses. But what I want to be clear about is I will not be going…

B) Would there be any chance of getting a better leader if hackers could get in and change the vote?
Yes/no.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

A) Would the Tory leadership vote have been more democratic or less democratic if it had been open to hackers to correct the votes cast by Tory members? If not why not?

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@CandelandBrian Exactly. Worthless candidates with no judgement. You'd have to be mad to want to be associated with the government we're about to get.
