There's no plan for degrowth, for climate action, for investment in energy efficiency or green industries, no schemes for training the skilled workers for green jobs that have a future. There's no money going to insulation or free public transport to get us off fossil fuels. 5

Taxes on ordinary workers are raised while the rich are rewarded for stealing from the public purse, and inequality has increased to unprecedented levels. Workers' pay is losing value by the day. Benefits are not enough to live on. They vote against feeding hungry children. 4

But let's be clear. Under the Tories (under Rishi Sunak & Liz Truss) none of these things are true.
Public spending is squandered on private sector profits and Tory donors and subsidies to dirty industries & road building, while public services are run into the ground. 3

Low unemployment would be a good thing if it were part of a thriving enterprise culture where everyone is engaged in worthwhile lifelong learning or creative activities and all vacancies in key sectors were filled. 2

Falling growth would be a good thing if it were part of a climate plan.
Rising taxes would be a good thing if it were to part of a plan to redress inequality and tax the rich.
