@AndyCoxDCS Good idea!
Buses, trains, bikes and scooters not car parks. 🛴🚲🚌
Fund car parks for those with mobility needs by shading them with ranks of solar panels, so they can be free.
Demolish multi storey car parks to make urban parks with trees and cafés. 🌳🌾🌿🌱🌻🌹⛲️🧋🍨

We knew the truth in time to take action, but most right wing politicians were and are under the influence of this plot to prevent action. Ecocide should be an international crime.

@rodjanssen We need all future buildings to be built to ensure no energy is needed to achieve tolerable temperatures and ventilation in summer and winter.

RT @mj_hull: Good sign (and to be honest, long overdue) that these insights are making it into the 'institutional' climate movement sphere.

Suspect it has much to do with young campaigners like @NannetteYoussef helping to turn the dial both within and without these orgs

Nadim Zahawi is issuing threatening letters to those who are writing about his suspect tax arrangements (as they should ESPECIALLY as he is now Chancellor of the Exchequer to whom HMRC ultimately report through the Treasury)

Members of Conservatives abroad do not have to be British citizens but they are entitled to vote in the leadership election.

1. How is that ok?
2. How many of these people are there?
3. Who are they?

@HarryMbike @Andrew9Boswell @guardian @NorwichGreens @foenorwich @NorwichXr @JustStop_Oil @profdaveevans @KwasiKwarteng @KevinClimate @NetZeroEast @InsulateLove That was due to the fact that they'd shifted from nuclear to fossil fuels, and didn't make the transition to renewables first, because they were run for years by conservative government. So they were caught short when the war with Russia precipitated a desire for energy …

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@HarryMbike @Andrew9Boswell @guardian @NorwichGreens @foenorwich @NorwichXr @JustStop_Oil @profdaveevans @KwasiKwarteng @KevinClimate @NetZeroEast @InsulateLove However if I understand the science correctly, if you don't make fuel cells but rather just store the hydrogen and then convert it back to heat and water in a generator you can reuse the water and you'll get all the energy back, no?

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@GlenIrvine1 @BeckettUnite @peteraf1 @TheGreenParty Do a little research will you? You clearly know nothing about this.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@HarryMbike @Andrew9Boswell @guardian @NorwichGreens @foenorwich @NorwichXr @JustStop_Oil @profdaveevans @KwasiKwarteng @KevinClimate @NetZeroEast @InsulateLove Absolutely agree. But nuclear enthusiasts are often keen on hydrogen and they find it harder to deploy their "how do you deal with intermittent wind" if you point out that it can be linked to their beloved (but wasteful) hydrogen.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@GlenIrvine1 @BeckettUnite @peteraf1 @TheGreenParty There are many storage solutions. Doesn't have to be batteries. We've had traditional storage methods for centuries for hydro electric. A fraction of the cost of batteries and much more efficient and much cheaper and safer than a nuclear power station.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@GlenIrvine1 @BeckettUnite @peteraf1 @TheGreenParty No they are not building new ones. They're reopening some existing ones temporarily until they have managed their transition from fossil fuels to renewables. You're just plain wrong. Renewables can supply all that's needed, combined with reduction in demand by energy efficiency.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@GlenIrvine1 @BeckettUnite @peteraf1 @TheGreenParty Absolute rubbish. What leaves them dependent on Russia is their dependence on fossil fuels. They'd be dependent on Russia for nuclear fuel if they ran nuclear. And nuclear power plants are a target in war. What delivers energy security and safety is renewables.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

@HarryMbike @Andrew9Boswell @guardian @NorwichGreens @foenorwich @NorwichXr @JustStop_Oil @profdaveevans @KwasiKwarteng @KevinClimate @NetZeroEast @InsulateLove Hydrogen storage would be a fraction of the cost of a nuclear power station both the building and the running. And there are many more efficient and cheaper methods of storage than hydrogen. And tidal power happens every day without fail. It's not even rocket science.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

RT @MLiebreich: What is needed for a is all of the above plus massively more emphasis on substitution, innovation and behaviour change on the demand side. I have no doubt that a clean energy system will end up cheaper than fossil - but not by magic and not immediately.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/catherinerowett/stat

RT @MLiebreich: A is not only one that includes communities in decisions, respects and reskills fossil fuel workers, and demands high ESG standards throughout. IT IS ALSO ONE THAT KEEPS ENERGY PRICES AFFORDABLE FOR BILLIONS OF POOR AND VULNERABLE PEOPLE.
