Think it's probably time to once again to talk about WHY the overwhelming majority of refugees, asylum seekers & irregular migrants are young men, and why being a young man does not mean someone is not a genuine refugee or genuinely in need. 🧵

Lee Anderson MP: Note to the Left.
Every illegal migrant that crosses the Channel from France is taking the place of someone genuinely in danger in a refugee camp.
Why can't you see that these fit healthy young men are actually preventing help reaching those desperate people who really need it?

Terrifying. It costs more than it saves. Child poverty is expensive and cruel, destroys lives and prospects. Having enough to eat and a warm house is essential for educational attainment. Economic shambles is not a reason for choosing that bonkers policy.
