It's funny that we didn't have all this sewage in rivers and beaches when we were in the EU.
And it didn't seem to cost us billions on our water bills.

Brexit was a massive mistake.
The big problem is that before, in the EU, there was a common framework for measuring quality/ranking beaches. Now, I don't know how things are measured, or what the numbers mean in a wider context.
This report is from 2015...

...and seems to be showing that the UK has always had bad beaches. But I don't know if the 2022 UK numbers are still using the same criteria.
