@catherinerowett We need 100% state-funding of politics; no gifts, no favours, no donations. We also need a complete muck-out of the lobbying system. Currently, political influence is unashamedly for sale on the open market. But it cuts both ways; politicians can—and do—use their positions to make money. The richest parties invariably poll the most votes. If votes polled, are to any extent proportional to party funds, its not a democracy.
