Depressing chat with friend who recently came out of hospital. Overworked nurses, not enough of them, bowls of wee lying around all day, 8hrs for discharge to happen (while using a bed)… Drs telling patients to contact MPs because they know it’s horrific but they can do nothing.

RT @EdwardJDavey: Families had their homes broken into to install prepayment metres, yet British Gas owner makes £3.3bn profits. What a betrayal.

Rishi Sunak's refusal to bring in a proper windfall tax could not be more out of touch

@germanspeakorg Great to hear that. Yes, rural areas are certainly more of a challenge. But with imagination, funding and some brave decision making we could make fundamental change. A change of mindset is needed among those who hold the purse strings.

Welsh roads. A brave decision, based on evidence that building more roads creates more traffic. Invest the same money in efficient, regular, joined up public transport that is a pleasure to use - and what’s not to like?
Excited to see how they progress.

RT @WGTransport: For years we’ve tried to beat traffic by building more roads. It hasn’t worked.

Around the world, building more roads and lanes has resulted in more traffic.

That’s why…

Great to see @thetimes campaigning on water quality. Vital that water companies are held to account. Our dying ecology is way more important than shareholder / CEO dividends.
RT @adamvaughan_uk: The Times has launched , a campaign to tackle water pollution in our rivers and beaches.

Kicks off with news today that water companies are unlikely to face the £250 million penalties for major pollution incidents promised last year thetimes.co.uk/environment

RT @timfarron: The Conservatives have just appointed their 15th housing minister since 2010 - their 6th since this time last year!

In that time we've seen zero action on the housing crisis that is crippling communities in Cumbria and beyond.

We need less reshuffles and more affordable homes!

This is excellent news for people who want to be able to access nature - and for forest flora and fauna too
RT @Right_2Roam: BREAKING: Center Parcs abandons plans to build 553 acre 'holiday village' in Worth Forest!

Last year @Right_2Roam & @LandscapesofF held a mass trespass of the site, highlighting the impact the construction would have on the ancient forest.

RT @EdwardJDavey: BP is raking in huge profits from Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine while families choose between eating and heating.
Rishi Sunak has failed the country by ignoring calls for a proper windfall tax. He needs to finally listen and cancel the energy bill rise in April.

Brexit supporters admit leaving EU was a ‘disaster’ after ‘a drink or two’, ex home sec Amber Rudd says.

What a shame they can’t admit it when sober and start trying to repair the damage they’ve done.

The bonfire of EU red tape... which will end up being a bonfire of our rights, and environmental safeguards.

It is nothing more than vandalism. Let's hope the Lords can be relied on to minimise the damage.
RT @WildlifeTrusts: Today, the Retained EU Law Bill will be debated in the House of Lords.

We’re urging all peers to oppose this Bill – which threatens thousands of laws that protect our environment, workers rights & more (1/3)

The utter delusion it takes to have written this while people are still struggling with the after effects. It’s staggering she has the brass neck.
