@AllisonPearson @BrugesGroup Exactly right! It’s not Mick Lynch that’s taken us back to the 1970’s, it’s 12 years of borrow, tax and spend. Debt and taxes at 70 year highs. Inflation at 40 year high. And at least 20% reduction in real wages of public sector.

@UK_Optimist @bbcquestiontime GDP in 2010 was £2 trillion. In 2021 it was £2.2 trillion. In $ terms the figures nearly equate. Meanwhile the US has gone from $15 trillion to $23 trillion - 50% increase.

Wages in public sector up 5% in the period. Inflation 25% in the period.
